TANZANIA IS CONGRATULATED FOR BEING AN ACTIVE MEMBER OF THE AFRICAN UNION

The compliments have been given by the Vice Chairman of the African Union Commission, Hon. When Monique Nsanzabaganwa met for talks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Hon. Ambassador Liberata Mulamula on the sidelines of the Conference on Women and Youth in Business in the African Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) from 12 to 14 September 2022 in Dar es Salaam.

Explaining the implementation activities carried out by the African Union Commission for the Nation and Member States Hon. Nsanzabaganwa explained that Tanzania is one of the important stakeholders in the African Union where, despite its position to support the establishment of the union, it has been completing its timely contributions.

“Completing the contributions on time from the country’s members enables the activities of the Secretariat to be carried out by helping and supporting the interests of the employees” said Hon. Nsanzabangan.

And the Minister of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Hon. Ambassador Liberata Mulamula has assured Hon. Nsanzabaganwa that Tanzania will continue to respect the agreement agreed in the African Union in parallel and ensure that it benefits from the various opportunities available such as employment and business.

He also thanked the African Union through the African Free Trade Area Agreement (AfCFTA) for recognizing the President of the United Republic of Tanzania as a Leader for the Promotion of Women and Youth Issues in business, in line with Tanzania’s honor of hosting of the Conference of Women and Youth in Business in the Free Trade Zone in Africa.

In addition, Hon. The minister said that the meeting is very important because it carries the agenda of women and young people with the aim of creating justice and gender equality in employment, unemployment finance, building capacity and sharing business in business and entering into national, regional and international business.
