EMIRATES NAMED TRANSPORT & LOGISTICS COMPANY OF THE YEAR AT THE GULF BUSINESS AWARD 2023

Emirates renowned for its excellence in service, dedication to enhancing customer experiences, and relentless pursuit of innovation, has clinched the prestigious title of Transport and Logistics Company of the Year at the Gulf Business Awards 2023.

This esteemed recognition reaffirms the airline’s unwavering commitment to delivering unparalleled experiences both in the skies and on the ground across all cabin classes.

The honour was received Divisional Senior Vice President International Affairs at Emirates,Sheikh Majid Al Mualla, during a gala event held at the Palazzo Versace hotel.

The Gulf Business Awards stand as the pinnacle of recognition for businesses, leaders, and entrepreneurs across diverse industries encompassing banking, finance, construction, real estate, healthcare, transport, logistics, technology, retail, and hospitality within the region.

Evaluation criteria for nominees encompass innovation, growth, financial performance, product quality, service excellence, and corporate social responsibility.

A distinguished panel of industry leaders determined the winners based on public votes received.
Emirates has marked a monumental year with the extensive rollout of its highly sought-after Premium Economy cabins, a key facet of its USD$2 billion investment aimed at enhancing cabin facilities and services.

Presently, the airline caters to twelve cities with the new Premium Economy offering, expanding its reach to London Heathrow, Sydney, Melbourne, Christchurch, Auckland, Singapore, Los Angeles, New York, Houston, San Francisco, Mumbai, and Bengaluru.

The airline’s forward-thinking approach extends to its future fleet, ensuring superior customer experiences and fortifying network connections.

At the Dubai Airshow, Emirates secured an agreement for an additional 90 Boeing 777-9s, 777-8s, and 5 787s, valued at US$52 billion, and 15 additional Airbus A350-900s, totaling US$6 billion.

Emirates has also revolutionized ground services, leveraging technology like biometrics to streamline airport experiences, eliminating the need for traditional travel documents such as boarding passes and passports.

In a parallel accolade, Sir Tim Clark was honored with the Transport & Logistics Business Leader of the Year and Business Leader of the Year titles at the Gulf Business Awards.

These prestigious awards recognize exceptional leaders who have significantly contributed to the growth of their respective industries and organizations.

Sir Tim, a cornerstone of Emirates’ leadership since its inception, has navigated the airline through myriad challenges, transforming it into the world’s largest international airline, celebrated for its exceptional products and services.

Expressing gratitude, Sir Tim addressed the Emirates team members upon receiving the award: “This recognition is a testament to the collective efforts of Emirates’ management and the countless individuals who have contributed to shaping our airline over the last 38 years.

They have helped build Emirates into what it is today, in an extraordinary country and city, the UAE and Dubai.
